Is your child unwell today?

Check availability and book online at any time. You can call us from 2 pm Monday to Friday and from 12 noon on Saturdays.

We are a private practice without a direct contract with Austria’s statutory health insurance funds. This means we cannot bill your appointment through your e-card.

You pay at the practice and receive an itemised invoice, which you can submit to your statutory health insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

Appointments generally cost €130–€160, depending on the examination and any additional services required. Payment is made directly at the practice.

For covered services, statutory health insurance generally calculates reimbursement based on the applicable contracted-doctor tariff—not on our fee. The actual amount depends on your insurer and the services provided. Based on our experience, reimbursement is approximately €55 for a newborn examination and €80 for the first Mutter-Kind-Pass check-up. These figures are indicative and may change. Depending on your policy, supplementary insurance may cover some or all of the remaining cost.

We can usually see unwell children on the same day, including Saturdays.

Routine appointments, such as Mutter-Kind-Pass check-ups and vaccinations, are usually available within a few days. You can view available appointments online at any time.

No more than 15 minutes. In most cases, there is little or no waiting time.

An urgent visit usually takes around 30 minutes in total. Well and unwell children wait in separate rooms.

Please bring your child’s e-card, Mutter-Kind-Pass and vaccination record.

For an urgent appointment, bring the e-card if that is all you have. For a review of medical reports or test results, please send them to us the day before and bring the originals.

On-site tests and diagnostics

When your child is unwell, what you need most is clarity.
How serious is it, and what does your child need now?

Finger-prick blood test for a toddler at the practice

On-site blood tests: full blood count and CRP in 5 minutes

A few drops of blood from a finger prick are all we need, with no need to draw blood from a vein. The results show how your child’s body is responding to the infection and help us decide whether antibiotics are needed.

Rapid tests for CRP, group A streptococcus, RSV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2, vitamin D and whooping cough at the practice

Rapid tests: clear answers in minutes

Fever and cough can have many causes, including RSV, COVID-19, influenza and whooping cough. Targeted rapid tests help us identify the likely cause and choose the right treatment within minutes.

For newborns and babies

We are accepting new patients. Simply book a first appointment to meet us and have your baby examined. You will find routine check-ups under Routine check-ups, vaccinations and planned procedures.

Ultrasound probe

Hip ultrasound for babies

Delayed hip development may cause no symptoms at first and can therefore go unnoticed for years. An ultrasound can detect it within the first few weeks of life, without exposing your baby to radiation. The earlier hip dysplasia is identified, the easier it is to treat.

Newborn receiving phototherapy

Newborn jaundice: a painless bilirubin check

Yellowing of the skin is common in newborns and is usually harmless. What matters is the actual bilirubin level. We measure it through the skin, without drawing blood or causing your baby any pain.
